As a responsible and innovative manufacturer of formulated chemicals for the electronics industry, Electrolube will showcase their newest EADH Air Duster and FREH Freezer Spray products on stand L38 at Southern Manufacturing. Developed to replace HFC-134a, the new sprays feature the latest Halo-Olefin (HFO) technology, HFO-1234ze, a breakthrough propellant capable of reducing equivalent CO2 emissions by more than 99.5% without compromising performance. Once released into the atmosphere, the HFO-1234ze has a measured atmospheric lifetime of two weeks compared to fourteen years for HFC134a.

The new propellant is also exempt from a number of carbon taxes imposed on HFC products. Each Member State has set their own tax and in some cases, such as Austria and Switzerland, they have banned the use of HFC-134a altogether. The use of EADH and FREH in place of standard HFC-134a products represents an average 11% price reduction when considering the carbon taxes.

Air-dusters are used in a variety of applications to remove dust and airborne contamination from very delicate or inaccessible areas of electrical and electronic equipment. Freezer sprays are also used by the industry for fault finding, helping to identify and to cool overheating electrical components. It is vital that products supplied for these purposes are non-flammable, because they are often used when equipment is switched on and 'live'.

The new sprays will be on show alongside products from Electrolube's extensive range including Aqueous and Solvent-based Cleaning, Thermal Management, Conformal Coatings, Encapsulation Resins, Contact Lubricants and Maintenance & Service Aids.
